Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

All sessions are provided via secure telehealth. Clients must be physically located in North Carolina or Ohio at the time of each session.

What concerns do you specialize in?

I specialize in maternal mental health (pregnancy and postpartum), individual counseling, couples and marriage counseling, and premarital preparation. I also provide trauma-informed care using evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, CBT, SFBT, and EFT.

Do you accept insurance?

I offer a mix of insurance and self-pay options. Coverage varies by plan, and I recommend verifying your mental health benefits prior to scheduling.

What are your session fees?

Initial intake session: $180
Ongoing individual sessions, marriage & couples counseling, and premarital counseling: $160

Please contact the office for the most current fee information.

How long are sessions?

Standard sessions are approximately 50–55 minutes. Extended sessions may be available when clinically appropriate.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, disconnected, or navigating a significant life transition, therapy may be helpful. A consultation can help determine whether my services are the right fit for your needs.

What can I expect in the first session?

The first session focuses on understanding your concerns, gathering background information, and identifying initial goals. Together, we will determine a structured plan for moving forward.

Do you offer faith-integrated counseling?

For clients who desire it, faith can be thoughtfully integrated into the counseling process while maintaining professional and clinical integrity. You can let us know during the initial phone call, or during the intake process, or at any time in a session with your therapist.

Is Christian Counseling for me?

If you have accepted Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life, then the Christ-like life is already something that you strive for, and it makes perfect sense for it to be a part of your growing and healing process through counseling.

Why do we emphasize the importance of integrating Christian Counseling principles into your counseling if you are a believer?

We believe that when incorporating a Christian perspective into the counseling process, the healing for life’s pain and disappointments can be seen through the eyes of the God who loves you and gave himself for you.  And when you can see yourself through His eyes, you can see your worthiness.

What if we are in crisis?

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911 or visit your nearest emergency room. Telehealth counseling is not a substitute for emergency care.

How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions. Frequency may adjust over time based on progress and clinical needs.

What is the cancelation policy?

Twenty-four-hour notice is required to cancel sessions. If sessions are canceled without 24 hr notice, there will be a $50 late cancellation fee. Sessions can be rescheduled within the week to avoid cancelation fees.

(Please note we CANNOT bill insurance for a missed appointment, so the responsibility of payment is on the client.)
